About this trip
Dear Friends,
We are excited about our upcoming pilgrimage to Portugal and Spain and I want to invite you to consider joining us. This is truly a Pilgrimage where we will visit and celebrate Mass and take part in the candlelight procession at the Shrine of Fatima –the site where Francesco, Jacinta and Lucia saw Our Lady of Fatima.
We will visit Santiago de Compostela named after St. James, the Patron of Spain, as well as the city of Avila, birth place of St. Teresa of Avila, just to name a few of the places we will visit.
We, and our Catholic Daughters, hope you will consider this most special gift to yourself and join us as we embark on a pilgrimage that promises to offer not only a journey of faith, but also time for prayer, meditation and enjoyment. As space is limited, reservations should be made as soon as possible.
Sincerely in Christ,
Father Ed Lamp

Scripture: “Go from your country… to the land that I will show you.” (Genesis 12:1)
DAY 2: MADRID – ÁVILA
Upon arrival in Madrid, you are welcomed and transferred to the sacred city of Ávila, home of St. Teresa of Jesus, Doctor of the Church. If time permits, we visit the Royal Monastery of El Escorial, where we celebrate Holy Mass, entrusting the pilgrimage to God’s providence. Evening arrival in Ávila for dinner and overnight.
Scripture: “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.” (Psalm 127:1)
DAY 3: ÁVILA – ALBA DE TORMES – SALAMANCA
In Ávila, we walk in the footsteps of St. Teresa. Visit her birthplace and the Cathedral of San Salvador, a fortress of faith rising from the medieval city walls. Celebrate Holy Mass at the Church of St. Teresa. Continue to the Convent of the Incarnation, where her spiritual reform was born. In Alba de Tormes, venerate her incorrupt remains, a powerful witness to holiness. Continue to Salamanca for dinner and overnight.
Scripture: “Let nothing disturb you, let nothing frighten you… God alone suffices.” (St. Teresa of Ávila)
DAY 4: SALAMANCA – LEÓN
Discover Salamanca, a city where faith and intellect have flourished for centuries. Visit its historic University, Cathedrals, and the grand Plaza Mayor. Continue to León, home to one of Spain’s most beautiful Gothic cathedrals. Here, surrounded by light streaming through sacred glass, we celebrate Holy Mass. Dinner and overnight.
Scripture: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105)
DAY 5: LEÓN – O CEBREIRO – LUGO
Enter Galicia along the ancient Camino de Santiago. In O Cebreiro, visit the site of the Eucharistic Miracle, a profound testimony to Christ’s Real Presence. Continue to the Monastery of Samos, a place of prayer and monastic hospitality for centuries. Arrive in Lugo, a city marked by continuous Eucharistic adoration. Celebrate Holy Mass in the Cathedral. DAY 6: LUGO – SANTIAGO de COMPOSTELA
Visit the Monastery of Sobrado dos Monxes, a serene place of contemplation.
At Monte do Gozo, pilgrims first behold Santiago. Those who wish may walk the final steps of the Camino, entering the holy city as countless pilgrims have done before. Participate in the Pilgrim Mass at the Cathedral of St. James, possibly witnessing the Botafumeiro. Dinner and overnight.
Scripture: “They set out at once and returned… and found the Eleven gathered together.” (Luke 24:33)

This morning, we visit the Cathedral and venerate the Tomb of St. James the Apostle. Celebrate Holy Mass in this sacred place of pilgrimage. In the afternoon, we journey to Muxía to visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Boat, where tradition recalls the Virgin Mary strengthening the Apostle’s mission. Continue to Finisterre, once known as the “end of the world.” Return for dinner and overnight.
