About this trip

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

It is my pleasure to invite you to join us on a beautiful pilgrimage to France. A religious pilgrimage is a grace-filled opportunity to join together in prayer, both in gratitude for many blessings received, as well as in petition for continuing growth in the holiness of our Church.
Our pilgrimage begins in Lourdes, where the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to Saint Bernadette. There, we’ll celebrate Mass at the Shrine, join the blessing of the sick, and participate in the nightly candlelight Rosary procession. Pilgrims will also have time for private prayer, the healing baths, and the Stations of the Cross overlooking the Grotto.
Next our journey will take us to Rouen, where will we celebrate Mass at the church of Saint Joan of Arc, Patron Saint of France, and visit the site where she was martyred.
We’ll explore Omaha Beach, site of the historic D-Day landings, and visit the breathtaking Mont Saint-Michel Abbey rising from the sea on the feast of the Archangels.
We’ll visit Lisieux, home of Saint Thérèse, the “Little Flower,” and attend Mass on her feast day at the Basilica and visit with the Carmelite Nuns at her convent.
Finally, our pilgrimage will take us to Paris, the “City of Lights,” where we’ll celebrate Mass at Sacré-Cœur, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.
We hope you will consider joining us as we embark on this pilgrimage that promises to offer not only a journey of faith, but also time for prayer, meditation and fun. As space is limited, reservations should be made as soon as possible.

Sincerely in Christ,
Msgr. Thomas Fryar

Your trip Itinerary

DAY 1 – Sep. 24 Departure for Lourdes

The pilgrimage begins as we depart for an overnight flight to Toulouse. Enjoy a full meal service and in-flight entertainment while we look forward to the days of grace, prayer, and renewal which awaits us in Lourdes.

DAY 2 – Sep. 25 Arrival in Lourdes

On arrival in Toulouse, we will be greeted by our English-speaking guide who will accompany us throughout this pilgrimage. From the moment we board the coach toward Lourdes, the scenery shifts gently from city to countryside, preparing our hearts for the grace-filled days ahead.

Upon arriving in Lourdes, we will check into our hotel and take a moment to settle in before walking together to celebrate the first Mass on holy ground. As evening descends, we join pilgrims from around the world in the moving Rosary and candlelight procession—a tradition which has illuminated this shrine for generations. Surrounded by the soft glow of candles and the sound of prayer, our hearts are invited into a deeper peace as the pilgrimage begins. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.

DAY 3 – Sep. 26 Lourdes — In the Footsteps of St. Bernadette

After breakfast, we begin the day by celebrating Mass at the Grotto itself, the very spot where Our Lady appeared to young Bernadette. From there, we walk gently through the narrow streets of the town, visiting the humble places which shaped Bernadette’s early life: the Boly Mill, where she was born, and the Cachot, the small former prison where her family sought refuge during hard times.

We will have the opportunity to drink from the miraculous spring—its waters a symbol of healing and hope. Later, as we ascend the Stations of the Cross overlooking the Grotto, we are drawn into the mystery of Christ’s passion through prayer and reflection. The day continues with time for personal devotion, quiet prayer, and rest. As night falls, we once again join the candlelight procession, each flickering light a reminder of faith, hope, and the presence of Our Lady. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.

DAY 4 – Sep. 27 Lourdes — A Day of Personal Prayer

Today offers us the precious gift of time—time to rest, reflect, and enter more deeply into the peace of Lourdes. After breakfast, the day is entirely for private devotions. We may choose to return to the Grotto, spend quiet moments in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, visit the baths, or simply sit in silence to take in the grace of this holy place.

As evening arrives, we once again join pilgrims from around the world in the candlelight procession, lifting our intentions to Our Lady in a moment of unity and serene beauty. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.

DAY 5 – Sep. 28 Lourdes — Toulouse — Paris — Omaha Beach - Bayeux

After breakfast, we will fly from Toulouse to Paris. Upon arrival, we travel to Rouen pausing for lunch before visiting the Church of Saint Joan of Arc —built on the very site of her martyrdom. Here, we celebrate Mass in honor of this courageous young saint who is the Patron Saint of France.

The pilgrimage then takes us to the historic shores of Omaha Beach. As we walk along the coastline where Allied forces landed on D-Day, we reflect on the bravery and sacrifice which changed the course of history. We visit the museum and the American Cemetery where thousands of white crosses stand in silent tribute. As evening settles, we continue to Bayeux for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6 – Sep. 29 Bayeux — Mont Saint Michel — Lisieux

This morning, we travel to one of France’s most breathtaking wonders, Mont Saint-Michel, a medieval abbey rising dramatically from the sea. According to the legend, St. Aubert received three times the order from Saint Michael to erect an oratory here. We will celebrate Mass on the Feast of St. Michael and the Archangels. Then, we travel through the Normandy countryside toward Lisieux, home of St. Thérèse, the Little Flower. Upon arrival, we settle into our hotel for dinner and overnight in Lisieux.

DAY 7– Sep. 30 Lisieux — In the Footsteps of St. Thérèse

Over the next two days, we immerse ourselves in the life and spirituality of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, whom Pope Pius X called “the greatest saint of modern times.” We visit the places that shaped her holiness, the Cathedral of St. Peter where she prayed and Les Buissonets, her childhood home filled with memories of faith and simplicity. We celebrate Mass with the Carmelite Sisters and, visit the Carmelite convent where Thérèse lived and prayed.

DAY 8 – Oct. 1 Lisieux — In the Footsteps of St. Thérèse

After breakfast, we are invited to the Feast Day Mass which includes a shower of roses from the dome of the Cathedral fulfilling her famous promise, “I will let fall from heaven a shower of roses”. Pilgrims often receive blessed roses, a tangible reminder of her presence and intercession. Surrounded by the gentle spirit of the Little Flower, we are invited to embrace her message of trust, love, and childlike confidence in God. Dinner and overnight in Lisieux.

DAY 9 – Oct. 2 Lisieux — Paris

We depart Lisieux and make our way to the enchanting city of Paris. Upon arrival, we enjoy a panoramic tour of the city’s most iconic wonders, including the Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe, and the Eiffel Tower. We celebrate Mass before exploring Notre Dame guided by your guide (Mass at Notre Dame if approved). With its blend of art, faith, and culture, Paris welcomes us for an evening of rest and reflection. Dinner and overnight in Paris.

DAY 10 – Oct. 3 Paris — Shrines & Montmartre

The day begins with Mass at the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal, where the Blessed Virgin appeared to St. Catherine Labouré. We venerate her incorrupt body. The we continue to the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, where his body rests above the altar in a magnificent silver reliquary.

After lunch, we travel to Montmartre, ascending by funicular to the Basilica of Sacré-Cœur. With time for prayer and peaceful reflection, we take in the sweeping views over the “City of Light”. A farewell Dinner in a local restaurant.
